PHOTOGRAPHY
Welcome to my photography portfolio. Here you’ll find a selection of my work. Explore my projects to learn more about what I do.
Previous
01
MiMi
A series of self- portraits taken over the course of my senior year at college. This was an attempt to for one grapple with self-identity and two showcase my skillset outside of the studio.
02
MiMi two
One last hoorah before I graduated from college, this time to really showcase my in studio photography skills.
03
Sidibes influence
A series of portraits influenced by Malick Sidibe. A Malian photographer who captured black and white photographs using contrasting and lively patterns for backdrops and subject garments.
04
community outreach
Over the course of 2019, I attended several community outreach events and was assigned lead photographer for a majority of those events. These pictures were a testament to the work we did within our community in feeding and spending time with children who were put down by the system.
05
Event Photography
As the schools photographer, I was often asked to cover the graduations, track meets and other events organised by the school. Most of these images were used in brochures, weekly buletins and occasionally an advertisement.
06
STAND UP SHOUT OUT Marches
Took these images over the course of being among the lead photographers at the SUSO club marches. The agenda of this club was to protect the wildlife within our country, Kenya.
07
but are we really strangers?
An ongoing project since I picked up my camera. A way to connect with the unfamiliar through a craft that stays with one forever.
08
Myown
A series of pictures I took of my friend, depicting the way black women are always depicted as monolithic. This was an attempt to sit in those feelings and refute that reality.
